The language itself is full of crazy nuances. The German word for girl [Mädchen] is neuter in gender. A Soda Brücke is a so-there bridge. Literally, a bridge that leads to nowhere. It is just there. With no connecting autobahn or highway. Built in advance of a road that never got built. And left abandoned. Alone.

GODIVA AIN'T CALLING
CAN I GET A REWIND?
We came. We saw. But we did not conquer. HEYBUDAPEST! sadly failed to win the Dance / DJ category at last night's GODIVA CALLING heats heald at the wonderful BOX in FarGo Village and so we will not now be appearing on the Main Stage at the upcoming GODIVA IN THE CITY event.
The ten-minute set featured KNIEVEL WITH A SHOTGUN [NAKED ON A HORSE MIX] and FRENCH GIRLS IN ITALIAN CARS [VISIO LEOFRICI MIX]. Both these new mixes can be found on the Double A side KLANDESTINÖ release which dropped all streaming services yesterday.

GODIVA IN THE CITY will take place on Saturday 04 and Sunday 05 July 2026 in Coventry city centre. This celebration of local creative talent forms part of a new programme of free and low-cost summer events designed to replace the long-running GODIVA FESTIVAL, which is on hold in 2026 to allow a review of its future to be undertaken.
GODIVA CALLING 2026 is a music competition that has invited acts from the Coventry and Warwickshire area to perform before judges and a live audience to discern who will appear on the main stage during the GODIVA IN THE CITY festivities. There are nine separate categories. HEYBUDAPEST! have progressed to the final of the DANCE / DJ genre. So get your finest ABBA gear on and come on down to THE BOX at Fargo Village on Tuesday 09 June 2026 to vote for your favourite purveyors of dark, troubling wonderment you can dance to. Doors open at 18:30.

So, with great sadness, we have to announce that HARLEY and FRANK will be leaving HEYBUDAPEST! with immediate effect. They both wish to pursue a different musical direction to DAVID. They want to create music. DAVID does not. He will, however, continue to crank out beats of dark, troubling wonderment.

Schooldays, huh? Best years of your life? LIKE FUCK! An endless nightmare of ridicule, mental torment and despair. But when you are going through hell the best thing you can do is to keep going. So here we are. Decades later. Drawing upon those dark days to bring life into creations such as FRANKENSTEIN FOR LIFE.
Every month since January, HEYBUDAPEST! have released a new single. This will continue throughout the year until December when the album SINGLE CHROMOSOME will hit the Christmas market featuring all twelve tracks [along with a shitload of remixes and re-remixes]. This month's version of FRANKENSTEIN FOR LIFE is far from being the definitive offering. But from acorns, mighty oaks grow.

The highlights have been very high. But Maradonna Louise Ciccone's appearance in DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN certainly scores way up in the achievement tree. Plus, my sister loves that movie.

Please check it out but NOT IF YOU ARE OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION. It's very fucking sweary. That aside, the release is significant to us in a number of ways. We are of sea-faring stock. And you can't beat a cracking Fish Supper. But it also incorporates the TWENTY-FIRST track that HEYBUDAPEST! have cranked out since Halloween 2025.

SOUTH OF THE BORDER OR HEADING INTO ORBIT?
This 5th of May, choose the way you would like to celebrate how General Ignacio Zaragoza led the Mexican Army to victory over their superior French adversaries. TIJUANA BRASSNECKING first appeared on the HECHO EN MÉXICO - MIX PARA BAILAR EP last New Year's Eve as an instrumental dance mix. The beats are still there but lyrics regarding separation from a sibling have been added. The track will see at least two more future iterations as the perfect blend is strived for.
After that, dive into the short story CINCO DE MAYO IN ORBIT for a fast-paced blast into outer space as a Mexican hero seeks to repel alien invaders. It features what HEYBUDAPEST! consider to be the greatest opening line in modern literature. We may be slightly biased, of course.

The single FRENCH GIRLS IN ITALIAN CARS just paased 300 streams on SPOTIFY but the track still has a long way to go until actually earns any royalties. One thousand 30-second minimum duration streams are required in any twelve month period to earn just £0.003 per play. So that amounts to a paltry £3.00 when our most popular track breaks the millennium barrier.
HEYBUDAPEST! are a non-profit making organisation [obviously] are so we have no interest in financial reward [currently]. But it's the fucking principle!
